A quick tutorial on some starting tips to spotting fake Levis Jeans. Please note that these tips are to get you started. You should also use your intuition. If something doesn't seem right (e.g. an offset label, suspect stitching, etc) then the chances are it is a fake as the Levis jeans do go through rigorous quality inspection. There will be some examples where rules that I have mentioned don't apply. As an example, the Levis 512 Jeans which I own and bought from a Levi's factory outlet store (these were 'seconds' or 'mis-sized' jeans) do not have stamps on the buttons. They do however still have the factory number on the label.

Tips on how to spot fake levi’s jeans
- check the tab on the back pocket
- check the branding on the button for LS & Co
- check the zipper for branding
- there should be 6 rivets on the front pocket area
- four labels on the inside
- certificate of authenticity on the inner pockets
- number on back of the button should match the label
- check the logo on the back of the jeans
- check the logo on the back of the jeans for the following key words:
