Use your OnePlus 6T like a pro! Little known features about the OnePlus 6T and amazing OnePlus 6T hacks all in one video. Fingerprint Gesture/Shortcut Fingerprint Gesture leads to quick shortcuts that you can configure at your end. Whether its calling someone, opening an app, taking a quick note, a quick selfie or putting a reminder - long press on the fingerprint sensor at the time of unlocking to access. Navigation Gestures Fastest way to navigate your OnePlus 6T is using swiping gestures to execute back, recent and home keys. Set it up within settings by going into Gestures and Buttons and then changing your navigation style to Navigation Gestures. Customization of Navigation Bar Double tap or long tap of navigation bar buttons can lead to different actions. You can customize them as per your preference and make navigation bar even more useful. Smart Lock OnePlus 6T can understand that the device is with you Quick Gestures Draw on the locked screen to quickly launch camera or turn your flashlight on or open any other app that you like. Change theme to Dark/Black OnePlus 6T by default ships with light/white theme. Changing the theme to dark makes it look good, increases readability, puts lesser strain to the eyes and also conserves/saves more battery. You can also apply your favourite accent color and make it look better. App Locker There is an in-built app locker that can protect your apps from being used by anyone else. Go into settings and then utilities and use the app locker setting to add apps that you would like to lock. those apps will then only open when you put in your pin. And you can hide notifications from those apps so no one can see them. Double tap to lock You can double tap anywhere on the homescreen to lock your phone. So you dont always have to use the lock-key to lock your phone. Sometimes, it is just a lot faster to double tap on a blank area on the homescreen to lock the phone. To enable, go to homescreen, long tap and click on Home Settings and enable 'Double tap to lock'. Earphone Mode Resume music playback automatically as soon as you connect your earphones. Also, get all notification ringtone in the earphone. Ambient Display Turn on ambient display on the OnePlus 6T to see notifications/time/calendar every time you pick up the phone or move the phone or when a new notification comes in. To enable, go into settings, then display and choose 'Ambient Display. The royalty-free music used in this video is 'Back To The Stars' by Nazar Rybak. Galaxy On 6 display
A decently sized 5.6 inch super AMOLED display with a resolution of 720 pixels by 1480 pixels that lends the device a fluid 18.5:9 screen ratio which you get with the flagships such as the Galaxy S8 and the Note 8.
The 720p resolution is not all that great. It’s a 5.6 inch display - so 720p doesn’t look as pixelated and the battery lasts longer since the phone doesn’t have to work to push too many pixels. On the other hand, you miss the extremely sharp display that you could get with a 1080p resolution and games like modern combat 5 that you saw lacked sharpness. Additionally, you can’t enjoy 1080p video content either and are stuck with a 720p display.
No Auto brightness mode.
Galaxy On 6 OS/Software
On the software side, the On 6 is running Android 8.0 Oreo with samsung experience version 9. Basically, it’s Samsung’s latest experience offering and comes with a few pre-loaded apps like the Google Suite of apps, the microsoft suite of apps some samsung goodies like smart things, voice recorder, internet browser, samsung pay mini, samsung mall, secure folder and samsung notes. It has an built-in FM player as well but only works with earphones connected.
Galaxy On 6 performance
Powered by Samsung’s exynos 7870 which is at best a decent performer and comes with 4 GB RAM which is alright. The Antutu benchmark scores are really not high and is a mediocre 63,000. The Redmi Note 5 gives 76000, the Honor 7x gives 89000 and the Asus Zenfone Max Pro gives 114,000 in Antutu benchmark scores - all these devices are actually cheaper than the On 6 and yet give better performance scores. So it’s really something to think about if performance is something that drives your buying decision.
The On 6 is not a slow device or it does not lag. But it’s not blazing fast and that’s alright because you’re not paying a lot of money.
Galaxy On 6 Gaming
Games mostly run smoothly. Tried playing chameleon run, modern combat 5 and asphalt 8. Asphalt 8 ran very smoothly with sharp graphics.
Chameleon run gave some lag issues as the game is pretty intensive.
Modern combat 5 ran smoothly, however, lack of 1080p display makes graphics look not so great.
Galaxy On 6 Build
A polycarbonate unibody build in this beautiful blue color which I absolutely love and the quality doesn’t feel too flimsy or cheap. It has this nice matte finish to it with a soft texture that feels good when holding in your hand. Some people prefer metal - but i don’t really see that as a deal breaker of any kind.
But the size is so convenient - perfect size that fits so well in one hand and that also let’s you conveniently use this device using just one hand.
Galaxy On 6 Design
From a design perspective, it’s infinity display which is essentially a close to bezel-less 18.5:9 screen which delivers a really immersive experience. So the bezels are slimmer than many of its competitors, but really don’t expect its anything close to flagships like Galaxy s9 or OnePlus 6 or iPhone X. The chin and the forehead of the device are quite significant and far from a bezel-less design honestly.
No water resistance or water proofing – and that’s ok because no phones in this segment have that.
No quick charging.
Fingerprint sensor at the back.
On 6 supports two SIM cards and one microSD card to expand storage by 256 GB.
You have a microUSB port which is disappointing in the world of type C ports - and you get a regular charger with it which does not support fast charging. Still got the headphone jack!
Also, no notification LED - and again not sure why not! Most other phones in this category come with the notification LED and it’s a pretty important thing
