I've owned various NorthFace, Marmot, REI, and Coleman tents over the years. This is a full walk through of this MSR FreeLite 3 tent, which we purchased from REI in 2016. The tent weighs in at 3 lbs. 7 oz in the stuff sack with everything included (rain fly, stakes, tent, and lines), which is the main reason we bought this lightweight tent for an upcoming trip in the back country. Before buying this tent, we considered tents from Big Agnes, Mountain Hardware, and Nemo. We also considered using our 4 person REI tent, but it comes in at 7 lbs. UPDATE, AUGUST 2016: We have returned this tent because it is horribly flawed in terms of the design. I describe why we (sadly!) ended up having to return this tent via text bubbles on the screen of the video. It's too bad, as I liked this tend during the initial tent. It just ended up being a miserable tent for 3 people to use. An 800 fill down jacket in a box-baffled construction for optimised insulation and weather resistance. This is a big duvet with big performance for use in extreme temperatures, or just when you are belaying in the cold! The sleeves and upper sections have highly water resistant fabric meaning you can wear it for longer in light rain and snow. It also packs into its own pocket for clipping to a harness or easy stowing in your rucksack.
