Mid Brown and Green Shadow Stripe Ribbed Socks - https://gentl.mn/2AnqPpK 00:37 Insulated Boots Elegant boots that are lined ideally with sheepskin so you look dapper but your feet stay warm. Surprisingly, most boots in England and even in Italy are just leather lined and not sheepskin lined so you'll have to do a little digging to find exactly what you need. 01:21 Casual Warm Jacket By that, I mean a jacket that is slightly shorter and just reaches past a jacket if you wear it or past your bum. 02:20 Headwear The classic choice would be to go with a flat cap, maybe a fedora hat. 02:42 Colorful Lined Gloves Lined because it's cold outside and that extra layer of cashmere wool will keep your hands warmer then let's say an unlined glove. Of, course if you're in a climate where it's not so cold, an unlined glove is the way to go. 03:52 Interesting Overcoat Most men today wear a black overcoat, maybe a solid charcoal one, or maybe a solid Navy, and while that's okay, you can actually get away with different overcoats that have more texture in different colors because that way, they work with more of your outfits. 04:39 Dinner Jacket As you know, the winter Christmas season is Black Tie season and because of that, you can wear a tuxedo. But over time, that may get a little boring and if you want to be a little more festive, you can add color you can add velvet dinner jackets. 05:03 Sweater Vest It's a mix between a vest because it has no sleeves and a sweater because it's knitted so it's very flexible, it's warm, you can wear it with a pea coat, you could wear with a suit, you can wear with a sport coat, and it just always works. 05:32 Distinct Winter Ties That means maybe a cashmere tie, a wool tie, and that could be a printed wool challis tie such as the ones you can get from Fort Belvedere. We also have them as bow ties or maybe if you want a little more texture, you could go with wool grenadine. Alternatively, a madder silk is perfect for the season because it has these muted earthy tones that are perfect for the fall-winter season. 06:20 Dressing Gown When it's cold outside, it's likely also colder on the inside of your house unless you like a high heating bill. 07:04 Heavy Knit Sweater Ideally, you skip cotton because it's not as insulating but wool, alpaca, or cashmere are what you want. If you are not sure what kind of sweater to invest in, I urge you to check out our in-depth video sweater guide here. 07:21 Gold Accessories Gold is much warmer than silver and it works with the brown tones you wear in your wardrobe, as well with the general season. So maybe you wear cufflinks, a collar bar, or maybe a monk strap shoe. Ideally, try to go with gold items because it just creates a warmer more wintery look. #winter #winteressentials #notsponsored --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Want to stay updated? As far as dressing for the office goes, a lot depends on the culture but over the years, things have changed dramatically and today, we go through the decades and we will give you a specific rundown of what items to wear, what not to wear, and particularly, what shoes you can focus on. In the last thirty years, the formality scale has dropped dramatically and today, probably just 1/10 office workers wear a full suit. As with many trends in menswear, the World War set a huge impact on style and dress code for the office and it usually meant that it was more casual or at least, more utilitarian. So, what should you wear to work? Honestly, a lot of it depends on your workplace and the culture there. That being said, we are big supporters of the plus and minus rule. So, don't just look at what the employee handbook says but actually observe what people are wearing at the office and at your workplace. Now ideally, you want to stay within one step above what people wear. Ideally, you don't want to step below because it definitely has an impact, people see it, and they will judge you maybe just subconsciously. You've probably heard of the old saying "Don't dress for the job you have but for the job you want." That as a caveat, many CEOs today dress very casually because they are already at the top of the company and they don't have to impress anyone. At the same time, if you have client contact and you want others to respect you at the office, dressing well and dressing a step up is important. Now that being said, sometimes your manager or superior can feel threatened if you outdress them so that is one aspect to keep in mind. You do not want to offend people and hirt your chances of climbing the ladders simply because they feel threatened by the way you dress. Honestly, if that happens at your workplace, it's probably time to change jobs anyway because that is not the kind of culture that you will likely thrive in, especially not if you like to dress up. if you want a full rundown on what business casual means today, please check out the video, here. 5 WARDROBE STAPLES 1. Navy blazer Even though you never have to wear suits at work, having a blazer is ideal because it makes your otherwise very informal outfit rather formal without being over the top. 2. Chinos Ideally, you get them in some khaki color, you can also go lighter with stone, or darker with navy. 3. Dress shirts If you don't work in a super formal office, you can be a little bit more relaxed with your shirts, you can have stripes, you can add some colors, maybe checks, and you can decide if you want to have button cuffs or French cuff for cufflinks. 4. Shoes In terms of shoes, the rules have relaxed a lot. For the traditional office, you can go with the classic black cap toe oxford. At the same time, brown at the office today is probably more popular than black if you look at all the offices across the US and Europe. It really does not matter if you go with derby shoes or monk straps. 5. Socks A lot of men wear short socks or mid-calf socks when they slide down, they expose your hairy calves which is still unprofessional in this day and age. #dressingforwork #officeattire #notsponsored --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Want to stay updated? Is It Worth It? - The Burberry Trench Coat - Review by Gentleman's Gazette

Is the new Burberry trench coat for you? https://gentl.mn/burberry-trench-coat TRENCH COAT GUIDE: https://gentl.mn/2yO608N GOYARD & I: https://gentl.mn/2hM0nwX 10 MUST HAVE CLOTHING ITEMS: https://gentl.mn/2gftCIi SHOP THE VIDEO: 1. Two-Tone Knit Tie in Charcoal and Cognac Yellow Changeant Silk - https://gentl.mn/2hIQKzj 2. Eagle Claw Cufflinks with Tiger's Eye Balls - https://gentl.mn/2wZCOY5 3. Fort Belvedere Racing Gloves - https://gentl.mn/2zP17sM 4.Shadow Stripe Ribbed Socks Light Brown and Blue - https://gentl.mn/2yrMI81 Thomas Burberry wasn’t quite the inventor of the trench coat but his name became synonymous and he popularized it and therefore, today, if people think about a trench coat, the first thing that comes to mind is a Burberry trench coat. The company has been making trench coats for over 150 years, they've been around since 1856 and it's just an iconic garment. The classic Burberry double breasted trench coat today costs eighteen hundred and ninety five dollars in the Burberry website. Yes, you should definitely go with a double-breasted version because that's the original. The current heritage models they offer have the typical Novacek, they also added it underneath the collar which looks nice if you like it popped up, but also the lining is Novacek. Novacek is a name for a specific tartan that is usually associated with Burberry, although it's also imitated by other companies. Unlike in previous years, this trench coat is made in England as the original one and it is made out of a hundred percent cotton gabardine which is a fabric Thomas Burberry invented or at least became famous and well known for, and it's the ideal material you want for a trench coat. The great thing about a modern Burberry trench coat is that it comes in four lengths as well as four fit styles. Now, the fit of all Burberry trench coats is slimmer than it used to be it's simply an adaptation to modern times which in my opinion, is not a bad thing because you want to trim look that flatters your body line. The relaxed fit is definitely the widest fit they offer and it's made for layering, so if you wear jackets underneath a lot, maybe a sweater or a cardigan, this is the fit you should get. The classic fit is more tapered in the waist yet you can still wear a suit jacket underneath of it. The slim fit is a slimmest fit they offer and it's not meant to be worn with something underneath but it creates a very nice if you shape. Last but not least, there's a tailored fit. the tailored fit is somewhere between a classic fit and a slim fit. In terms of a length, the original trench coat was quite long and ranged from ankle length, all the way up to knee length. Today, Burberry’s lengths are much shorter. So is it worth to get the Burberry trench coat? Every gentleman should have a trench coat but it doesn't necessarily have to be Burberry. Fortunately, it won't go out of style and Burberry is associated with the original. Even though almost 1900 dollars for a cotton overcoat is quite a bit of money, you'd consider the cost per wear as this garment can be worn in every transitional season between fall winter, and spring summer. On the other hand, if you want a flattering fit and you want to choose between the different lengths and the fits, and if you have the money, it’s definitely worth it. It's a good investment, it won't go out of style, and you won't regret your purchase. So are vintage Burberry trench coats worth it? Yes, absolutely! No matter your budget everyone can afford that one. You can find them at flea markets or maybe on eBay, just make sure you're able to return them. As always, it pays to know the measurements of the garment as well as your own so you'll find something that fits. So at the end of the day, is a Burberry trench coat worth it? New, it is not worth it if you want the original length and the original width and fullness however, if you want the modern fit and if you have the money, it's definitely worth it. if you go with a vintage trench coat, it is definitely worth it because it will never go out of style you can always wear it. the cost per wear is low and it’s just a classic staple that every man should have. #isitworthit #burberrytrenchcoat #notsponsored --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Want to stay updated? 13 Most Over and Underrated Dress Shirts for Men

Mohair Blue, Burgundy, Green and Yellow Pocket Square - https://bit.ly/2M5KYFq For many men, dress shirts are an essential part of their wardrobe. It's probably one of the first things they put on in the morning before they go to work. Overrated Shirts 1. Pink Shirts In my experience, pink shirts or a hit or miss. They can look well if you have a good tan and if the pink is quite light. They look really bad if it's a strong pink and if you choose the wrong accessories. 2. Extreme Cutaway Collars These white collars have been quite popular with brands like Ralph Lauren, they are still around today and people wear them a lot. It's definitely an extreme look and if you wear a neckwear of any form, it just doesn't work in your favor. 3. Non-Iron Shirts I get it, most men think of ironing shirts is a huge pain in the behind, so of course, if someone promises you a non-iron shirt, you are naturally interested in it. The problem is most dress shirts are made out of cotton and cotton inherently wrinkles. 4. Visible Monograms In recent years, online custom shirts and regular custom shirts have become increasingly popular which provided the option to add monograms. Now for a lot of people, this is kind of a status symbol and they want to show off that they're wealthy enough to afford a custom-made shirt or a shirt that was made for them. 5. Bold Printed Patterns I'm not talking about stripes or classic patterns like checks, I'm talking about bold floral and paisley prints which have become increasingly popular in recent years. Technological advances and changes in fashion have allowed dress shirts to become a lot louder and more vibrant. 6. Dress Shirts That Are Meant To Be Worn Untucked Honestly, I see it all the time when I go to parties or in the airplane catalog. People promote and wear dress shirts that are not tucked in. 7. Jewel Tone Dress Shirts What I mean by that is very extreme and bold colors that I usually see worn by men who are very new to clothing who think they need to make a bold statement with the choice of shirt color so they end up getting a vibrant ruby red shirt. 8. Short-Sleeved Dress Shirts If you live in a warmer climate or you suffer from hot summers, you may be prone to wear a short-sleeved shirt underneath your jacket. The problem is you won't see the sleeves and so it would always look weird and orphaned. Underrated Shirts 9. Pastel Colored Dress Shirts When I say pastel, I mean tones that are very soft and just have a hint or a hue of color that is different than white. 10. Bold Stripes Stripes are very popular in dress shirts for men, particularly some that come in blue on a white background, or maybe in white on a blue background. 11. Winchester Shirts What I mean by that is a shirt with a contrasting white collar on a different colored shirt body. 12. Open Weave Cloth Dress Shirts During the summer, the most underrated thing are open weave cloth dress shirts. Most shirts in the market today come in a medium heavy weave that is quite tight, however, during the summer, an open weave shirt is much more pleasant to wear because it allows a lot more air to your skin. 13. Pin Collar Shirts In the 90s, when power suits were popular, a lot of people would wear tab collars and pin collars. In recent years, they've fallen somewhat out of favor but it's a great way to add a different accessory to your outfit that elevates your tie knot and makes you look a little more debonair. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Want to stay updated? 1. Don't just buy the same black boring overcoat that every other man out there has. Black, in my opinion, is quite overrated especially for overcoats because it shows every little hair and dust speck and you just blend in.

2. Do look for longer overcoats. By that, I mean something that covers your knee because you stay warmer that way and traditionally, it's a very classic look that won't go out of style anytime soon.

3. Do opt for hundred percent natural materials in overcoats. Unfortunately, even expensive overcoats these days are often blended because it makes the fabric less expensive and thus more affordable or increases the profit margins of the manufacturer. While polyester nylon fibers can make a garment more durable, they're not as insulating as natural fibers such as cashmere, or wool, or alpaca, and because of that, I'd stay clear of them.

4. Don't buy an overcoat with a zipper. Yes, you can see them in ski jackets and functional jackets but an overcoat is a classic garment that is stylish and as such, you'd go with buttons.

5. Opt for a double-breasted one. Yes, it's true that single-breasted coats are the norm out there but double breasted ones make you stand out from the crowd and on top of that, they keep you warmer because they have two layers of fabric on top of each other.

6. Don't forget the Hat. An overcoat is great to be worn with a hat because it keeps you warmer and because it's a classic garment, it is stylish, a hat always works well together.

7. Do wear a boutonniere or a pocket square with your overcoat.

8. Don't buy an overcoat that is too large and baggy because it makes you look unattractive. First of all, determine how you want to wear your overcoat. If you do want to wear a jacket underneath, make sure you have enough room in your overcoat.

9. Do look for striking yet classic details. No, I don't want you to wear bright orange reflective overcoats, however, I urge you to consider maybe an interesting weave in the fabric such as on this one here, where you can see, it consists out of gray, black, and blue, and because of that, it's super versatile because I can wear with all kinds of suits in those colors.

10. Don't buy overcoats that combine the styles of different overcoats because they will look dated very quickly.

11. Don't be afraid to invest a little money in a good-quality overcoat because it's something that will last you longer than a suit most of the time and you also have to buy fewer of them.

12. Do consider vintage overcoats. Personally, I
love vintage overcoats because they have heavier fabrics that drape really really well and on top of that, they have interesting color combinations such as the coat I'm wearing here right now, in fact, most of the overcoats in my collection are vintage.

13. Don't mix an overcoat with casual attire. If you want to wear your sweatpants, maybe go with a quilted jacket or a hoodie and leave the overcoat at home.

14. Do look for heavy fabrics in an overcoat because they're much more forgiving, they don't show wrinkles as easily, and they'll keep you warm.

15. Don't show any cuff on an overcoat. With regular suit jackets or sport coats, most men want to show a little bit of their shirt cuff. With an overcoat, that's not the case, you want it to reach all the way down to the beginning of your thumb.

16. Do look for the little button in the vent area because when it's very windy, you can just close it and stay warmer that way.

BONUS: If you wear an overcoat, try to add classic accessories such as a scarf or gloves.
